About The Position
 We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Neurological Surgery for a 60-day locum tenens assignment at a Trauma Center in California. The assignment begins on 06/30/2025, with 10-hour day shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM, no call required. The PA will provide care in the Neurosurgery/Trauma ICU, managing emergency surgery patients with brain, neck, and spine conditions. Responsibilities include performing low to moderate risk procedures and assisting with high-risk procedures. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care. This role offers a challenging and rewarding experience in a dynamic hospital environment. Cerner EMR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Manage patients in the Neurosurgery/Trauma ICU
• Perform low to moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/insertion, and fracture/dislocation reductions
• Assist with high-risk procedures including G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, and cardioversion/defibrillation
• Provide care for emergency surgery patients with brain, neck, and spine conditions
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Cerner EMR system
• Participate in patient and family education
Additional Information:
• Strong background in neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care required
• Orientation provided on the business day prior to the first shift
• Active California license required
