Air-Cert, LLC. is seeking a full-time A&P Component Technician to join our FAA Part 145 Repair Shop team and work alongside a highly experienced team of technicians in a hands-on environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who take pride in producing high-quality work, enjoy technical work and have a strong eye for detail. In this role you will work with aircraft components throughout the repair process performing a variety of tasks including disassembly, cleaning, detailed inspection, painting, assembly and testing. 

Compensation: 

  • The salary range for the A&P Component Technician position is $25.00-$36.00/hour based on experience and qualifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical or hydraulic malfunctions in aircraft accessories and hydraulic components using technical manuals, schematics, and testing equipment. 
  • Perform repairs on malfunctioning components in accordance with approved procedures and manufacturer specifications.
  • Assemble hydraulic components using precision measuring tools and calibrated equipment.
  • Perform testing of aircraft components using gauges, meters, hydraulic test stands and other diagnostic instruments.
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repair work in order to maintain compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and FAA regulatory requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Additional Responsibilities:

  • May perform special projects and other duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the aviation industry, preferably in a Part 145 Repair Shop environment
  • Currently attending Aircraft School or have obtained FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant certification is a plus, but not required. 
  • Prior experience inspecting parts within an FAA approved Quality system
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and able to provide documentation as required by law
  • Ability to read, speak and write in English.
  • Highly dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic. 
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems. 
  • Must successfully pass mandatory FAA Drug testing.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

This position works onsite in the Company’s Repair Shop. 

  • Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Regularly communicate in verbal and written form and able to hear.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Frequently utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 40 pounds.
  • Able to frequently reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.



Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm
