Position SummaryÂ
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a residential apartment community. This role focuses on rent collection, resident relations, leasing support, and administrative tasks. The Assistant Community Manager plays a key role in maintaining accurate records, ensuring a high level of customer service, and promoting the values of Decron Properties.Â
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ
Assist with daily operations, resident communications, and leasing activitiesÂ
Process rent payments, track delinquencies, and assist with collectionsÂ
Assist in the coordination of resident move-ins, move-outs, and compliance documentationÂ
Support the community manager with budget monitoring and financial reportingÂ
Address resident inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional mannerÂ
Maintain accurate resident records, files, and documentation in accordance with company policiesÂ
Post and process legal notices related to rent collection or lease compliance, support eviction procedures in accordance with local lawsÂ
Support leasing efforts with tours, application processing, and lease signing as neededÂ
Contribute to resident retention efforts, community events, and marketing campaignsÂ
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies/proceduresÂ
Respond to resident inquiries and concerns professionally and promptlyÂ
Â
Non-Essential DutiesÂ
Assist with vendor coordination and maintenance follow-upÂ
Support marketing and resident event effortsÂ
Provide coverage at other communities as neededÂ
Participate in team meetings, training, and company eventsÂ

Required QualificationsÂ
High school diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
1+ years of experience in property management, leasing, or administrative supportÂ
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skillsÂ
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage)Â
Understanding of Fair Housing laws and rental regulationsÂ
Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours as neededÂ
Â
Preferred QualificationsÂ
Associate degree in Business, Real Estate, or related fieldÂ
Previous experience in a support or assistant management role within property managementÂ
Â
Work Environment and Physical RequirementsÂ
This position operates on-site at the apartment community.Â
Regularly uses standard office equipment and mobile technologyÂ
Frequently walks the property including stairs and outdoor areasÂ
Ability to lift up to 25 poundsÂ
Communicates with residents, vendors, and team members in person, by phone, and electronicallyÂ
May be exposed to varying outdoor weather conditionsÂ
