As a Outpatient Oncology Clinical Dietitian II at Cedars-Sinai, you will provide nutrition counseling and guidance to patients, from diagnosis to survivorship, to support their individual nutrition needs and treatment goals.

Summary of Essential Job Duties:

  • Provides nutritional guidance to patients receiving oncological therapeutic treatments to minimize nutrition impact symptoms.
  • Provides nutrition assessments and, based on need, coordinates the nutrition care service needs for patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Facilitates patients/family/caregiver/client active participation in establishing nutrition related goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates and communicates with interdisciplinary team and the department leadership in the provision of quality care.
  • Documents care in the medical record.
  • Contributes to health care team functions through the multidisciplinary care planning processes.
  • Act as a junior preceptor for student RD training programs as needed
  • Participate in projects and resource development to support clinical practice
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
