Machine Operator II 

As an AS9100D certified company, Allan Aircraft requires all employees to conform to AS9100D clauses specific to their departmental responsibilities. For a more departmental breakdown of these responsibilities, please see form AAH-1.1.


Job Summary: 

Our company is searching for a talented machine operator to oversee our computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines.  You will be responsible for ensuring our company produces quality parts specific to engineering drawings and client standards.


Duties/ Responsibilities: 

  • Set-up and manage machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding, and milling
  • Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results
  • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs

Requirements

Required Skills/ Abilities:

  • Strong math skills and knowledge of tool and work offsets
  • Ability to analyze prints or other documents to make sure the final part matches the print
  • Experience with operation and set up of CNC Mills/Lathes
  • Perform daily maintenance on the machinery
  • Follow safety requirements and handle materials appropriately


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred.
  • Two+ years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Must be able to traverse production facility
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at at time.
