Position SummaryÂ
The Community Manager is responsible for the overall performance and daily operations of a residential apartment community. This role oversees leasing, maintenance, financial performance, and resident satisfaction while leading on-site team members. The Community Manager ensures the community meets company standards and upholds the values and service expectations of Decron Properties.Â
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ

Provide leadership and direction to all on-site team membersÂ

Oversee day-to-day operations at the assigned residential communityÂ
-
Develop, manage, and analyze budgets, occupancy, collections, and expenses for each communityÂ
-
Monitor and analyze financial performance, occupancy, rent collection, and expensesÂ
-
Conduct regular property inspectionsÂ
-
Lead hiring decisions and staff scheduling, performance management, and staff developmentÂ
-
Monitor and address resident satisfaction, concerns, and retentionÂ
-
Ensure communities comply with Fair Housing, OSHA, local regulations, and company policiesÂ
-
Partner with maintenance team to maintain physical asset condition and service response timesÂ
-
Report on performance metrics and strategic updates to Residential Portfolio ManagerÂ
-
Maintain consistent communication with Residential Portfolio Manager regarding community needsÂ

Non-Essential DutiesÂ

Support marketing efforts across communities during lease-up or high-turnover periodsÂ

Assist with staff recruitment and onboarding as neededÂ

Participate in company-wide initiatives, training, and events as neededÂ

Required QualificationsÂ

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate, or related field preferredÂ

5+ years of experience in multi-family residential property management, including at least 2 years managing multiple locationsÂ

Strong financial and operational acumenÂ

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skillsÂ
-
Proficient in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage)Â
-
In-depth knowledge of Fair Housing laws, landlord-tenant regulations, and budgetingÂ
-
Ability to work weekends or extended hours as neededÂ
Â
Preferred QualificationsÂ

CAM or ARM certificationÂ

Experience managing communities with 150+ unitsÂ
Â
Work Environment and Physical RequirementsÂ
This role is performed on-site at an apartment community and includes both office and property walkthroughs.Â
