Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications

  • Working knowledge and practice of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA (Required)
  • Working knowledge of principles of 4-handed dentistry, dental terminology, materials, equipment and procedures related to dentistry. (Required)
  • Working knowledge of principles of infection control, and sterilization procedures. (Required)
  • Ability to work with infectious diseased patients. (Required)
  • Ability to recognize an emergency situation and respond appropriately. (Required)
  • Demonstrate English writing skills to write accurate and legible entries in patient dental records. (Required)
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and customer service skills to collect and relate information to diverse patients, staff and faculty of all levels. (Required)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing. (Required)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy to maintain an inventory of dental instruments, equipment, and supplies in the working operatories. (Required)
  • Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload, frequent interruptions and ability to set priorities to reflect relative importance of job responsibility. (Required)
  • Demonstrated skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty members, co-workers, patients and the public. (Required)
  • Skills to effectively utilize Dentrix computerized scheduling and billing system. (Preferred)

  • Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
  • Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
  • Age Requirement: Candidate(s) must be 18 years or older to be eligible to be hired.
  • COVID and Flu Vaccinations: The position is subject to providing evidence of inoculation.
