Role:

Northwood is looking for a Finance & Business Operations Analyst to own the economics of our global ground network. You will build the operating model and the revenue and cost forecasts that guide company decisions on product pricing, network design, and deployment. This is a cross-functional role, working closely with business development, engineering, supply chain, and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the company operating model that ties revenue and cost together and guides decisions on pricing, network design, and deployment.

  • Analyze key financial metrics, namely revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, and capital expenditures and provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on analysis.

  • Partner with business development on pricing, deal economics, and the revenue and cash impacts of new commercial opportunities.

  • Work with engineering, supply chain, and operations to identify cost drivers and lead cost-down efforts across hardware and infrastructure.

  • Evaluate design and sourcing tradeoffs and translate them into clear cost implications for engineering decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, economics, or a related technical field.

  • 2+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or business operations roles.

  • Excellent analytical skills (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, financial modeling, etc.)

  • Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and drive decisions with incomplete data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hardware, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.

  • Experience with headcount and operating expense planning in technical organizations.

  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements.

  • Strong communication skills, especially in translating cost insights into clear actions for technical and leadership teams.
