This is a full-time position with Los Angeles Unified School District. 

The ideal Junior Scheduler is a detail-oriented and analytical early-career construction professional with hands-on experience supporting scheduling efforts for public works or educational facilities projects. This candidate is proficient in Primavera P6 and Excel, understands schedule logic, QA/QC processes, and earned value principles, and is comfortable reviewing contractor baseline and update schedules for compliance with contract requirements. They bring strong organizational skills, the ability to interpret program-level coding standards, and the discipline to maintain data integrity across master schedules. A collaborative communicator, they work effectively with project teams while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and adherence to scheduling guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of Senior Schedulers and Project Schedulers to provide construction schedule review comments for contractor-generated Baseline Schedules and Monthly Schedule updates based on LAUSD review templates.
  • Assist the scheduling team in creating and populating various schedule related reports in Excel and P6 software.
  • Create Earned Value Curves based on LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
  • Perform QA/QC on contractors schedule submittals for conformance with contract scope and requirements.
  • Analyze schedules for proper use of program level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform QA/QC on P6 program schedules and validate logic ties to ensure conformance with scheduling guidelines for various project types.
  • Update the master program schedule with as-built start and finish dates while coordinating input from various Facilities teams on projected/forecast sequential start/finish dates.

Required Experience:

  • One (1) year full-time paid professional experience responsible in Scheduling for an Owner or
    General Contractor, preferably on multiple educational facilities or public works projects.

Required Education:

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelors degree in engineering,
    architecture, engineering, or construction management.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version (P6 v19) and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
  • Superior organizational and planning skills
