We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join our growing Data & Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines, working within Palantir (Foundry) environments, and integrating data with Salesforce. The ideal candidate will support data integration efforts across business, legal, and operational teams, helping to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and workflows within Palantir Foundry
- Integrate and synchronize data between Salesforce and internal data platforms
- Assist in designing data models, ontologies, and object types within Palantir
- Support ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Sales, Operations) to understand data needs
- Write and maintain scripts (Python, SQL) to automate data transformation and reporting tasks
- Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and support production data workflows
- Document data flows, schemas, and pipeline logic for internal knowledge sharing
- Assist in monitoring data governance, security, and compliance standards, particularly around legally sensitive data
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
- Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline architecture
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Palantir (Foundry or AIP) — including pipeline building, ontology/object modeling, or code workbooks
- Experience working with Salesforce — data integration, API usage, or administration (e.g., SOQL, Salesforce objects, Data Loader, or Salesforce Connect)
- Prior experience in a legal, compliance, or regulatory environment (e.g., law firm, legal ops, corporate legal department, or legal tech company)
- Familiarity with handling sensitive/privileged data and associated confidentiality requirements
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD basics
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) as they relate to legal data handling
