KH221 - Full-Time Live-Out Nanny - Los Angeles, CA

Overview

A warm and creative family in the Calabasas neighborhood of Los Angeles is seeking a reliable and knowledgeable career nanny to care for their sweet and playful 2-year-old. The primary schedule will be Monday through Friday, 9 am-5 pm. Some flexibility to cover evenings when parents are out would be much appreciated. There will be some domestic and international travel, typically shorter trips such as a long weekend or 7-10 days. The nanny must already be local to Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

• Full childcare of an active and social 2-year-old who loves music, dancing, and anything creative
• Providing a warm and loving environment while maintaining respectful boundaries and promoting independence. Knowledge of child development and ages and stages is essential.
• Coordinating schedules for naps, meals, activities, and travel
• Transportation to school, local playgrounds, activities, and playdates 
• Child-related tidying and organizing, including restocking items needed and doing the child’s laundry
• Cooking meals for the child

Qualifications

• Warm, patient, and flexible personality that thrives in a busy household 
• Team player and happy to work with other household staff 
• Spanish-speaking would be ideal, as one parent speaks Spanish

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, as both parents are very open communicators and look for the same in their nanny
• A valid passport and able to travel internationally without restrictions
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; mileage will be reimbursed for any on-the-job driving 
• TrustLine certified, or willing to certify before starting
• Confident swimmer and comfortable being in the water with children
• Comfortable with friendly dogs (no pet care required but the pets are family members too!)
• Legal to work in the US

Salary and Benefits

$40-45+ per hour with guaranteed weekly hours, paid time off, sick days, and holidays
