Job Description Summary:
One who is capable of and responsible for installation and repair of production, packing, or materials handling equipment or plant facilities. Has a high degree of training and skill in one or more phases of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, operation of equipment, or parts fabrication in a general machine shop.This is a union role with the pay rate of $33 an hour.

Key Responsibilities: Â
Conductroutinemaintenancetasks,inspections,andrepairsoncandyproductionmachinery,conveyors, and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.Â
Diagnosemechanicalissuesusingdiagnostictoolsandmanualtechniquesandimplementeffective solutions in a timely manner.Â
Developandexecutepreventivemaintenanceschedulesforallmachineryandequipmenttominimize unplanned downtime and engage with system.Â
Lubricate, clean,andadjustcomponentstomaintainproperfunctionalityandextendequipment lifespan.Â
Respondpromptlytoequipmentbreakdownsandemergenciestotroubleshootandconducton-the-spot repairs, aiming to minimize production disruptions.Â
Order and replacedamaged or faultyparts as needed.Â
Maintainaccurateand up-to-daterecordsofmaintenanceactivities,repairs, andpartsreplacements.Â
Documentprocedures,checklists,andmaintenancelogstoensureeffectivecommunicationandknowledge sharing.Â
Adheretoallsafetyguidelinesandprotocols,includinglockout/tagoutprocedures,toensureasafeworking environment for yourself and others.Â
Recordordocumenttheresultsof themeasurementontheappropriateforms.Â
Performescalationtomanagementifactions areunabletoachievespecification.Â
Performchecksand measurementsand makeadjustments toachievethequalitytargets. Perform maintenance tasks in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.Â
Minimum Qualifications:
PreferredHighschooldiplomaorequivalent,technicalcertificationorrelevantvocationaltrainingin mechanical maintenance.Â
Electrical experience required: to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams, wiring and troubleshooting 220-480 volts 3 phase motors, DC motors, electrical panels, variable frequency drives and manual machine interfaces. State of California certification is helpful.
Strongmechanical aptitudeand theabilityto diagnoseandrepair mechanical issues effectively.Â
Familiaritywithcandymanufacturingmachinery,conveyors,andequipmentis advantageous.Â
Proficiencyin usinghand andpowertools, diagnosticequipment,and precision instruments.Â
Knowledgeofhydraulic, pneumatic,andelectricalsystemsrelevanttomanufacturingmachinery.Â
Excellentproblem-solvingskills,attentionto detailandtheabilitytoworkwellunder pressure.Â
Effectivecommunication skillstocollaboratewithcolleaguesand reportmaintenance activities.Â

Ableto team lift upto 50 lbs. on occasion.Â
Abletostand,walk,bend,reach,twistthroughout durationofshift.Â
