Job DetailsJob Location: LOS ANGELES, CA 90045Salary Range: $87,000.00 - $110,000.00 Salary/yearSUMMARY The Manufacturing Program Manager is a new role responsible for revamping and effectively managing the production process for PVC and PE conduit fittings while ensuring that activities are aligned with the broader objectives of the Company. This includes production scheduling, monitoring, and analyzing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, as well as implementing improvements to workflows. This hands-on role will also facilitate communication and collaboration between various business functions, among them sales, procurement and quality assurance, to ensure that costs, quality and goals are aligned. Additionally, the role will pioneer fittings production scheduling in AS400 along with various production reports. This role will also collaborate with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, to ensure that customer expectations are met.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Production Administration and Scheduling: Create and actively manage the manufacturing process and production schedule of PVC and PE fittings, implementing streamlined workflows while optimizing resources. Work with Production Directors, Plant Managers and production team to monitor and improve manufacturing process for quality and cost-efficiency. Ensure required material is provided per weekly schedule. Monitor and enforce product quality standards and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and certifications. Address any quality issues proactively and work with teams to implement corrective actions.  Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams and External Stakeholders: Review production schedule with Sales and Plants, assist with resolving scheduling conflicts. Provide lead times to Sales as well as keeping them informed of production delays. Work with production teams and logistics to ensure product availability and timely delivery. Collaborate with Procurement for process improvements. Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors, both existing and new, for cost-efficiency and to support business growth and expansion.   System, Reporting and Analysis: Consult with IT to improve production systems and develop a production scheduling system in AS400. Set-up Universal Product Code masters, inventory master file, data source files for Plants and update as needed. Review daily production reports for output percentage, scrap, downtime, and production time totals. Analyze performance metrics to ensure that production and cost targets are met. Generate and distribute Production Department standard reports:  Weekly Production Lead Time, Weekly PVC and PE Counts, Weekly Finished Goods Adjustments, Weekly Free Inventory, Monthly Idle Inventory, Monthly Slow-Moving Inventory and provide ad hoc reports when requested. Coordinate Abnormal reports for Plants.   Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports. Position is an individual contributor role.  QualificationsQualifications: Must have 2 to 4 years experience in production operations and/or production scheduling, or related roles, preferably within the PVC, PE or electrical industry. Experience in managing supplier relationships and overseeing production process. Experience with technologies or system related to production scheduling a must. Experience in AS400 desired but not required. Advanced level proficiency in Excel and production metrics analysis. Intermediate level in Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Knowledge of electrical fittings industry standards and regulations. Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Must be detail-oriented, organized and have excellent follow-up skills.
