We are actively hiring for the position of Marketing Director of SEO, AEO, & GEO for our plant in Los Angeles, CA.


This is a salaried exempt position with an expectation of availability during core business hours, at a minimum between 9 am and 6 pm PST, Monday through Friday.

 

Salary: $130.000 - $165,000

 


Duties & Responsibilities 

 

  • Own and drive the SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy across all of Digital Room's 10+ e-commerce brands, with a focus on growing organic traffic as a meaningful revenue channel
  • Lead and develop the team —set direction, provide coaching, establish clear objectives, and conduct performance reviews
  • Build and execute AEO & GEO roadmap to position Digital Room's brands and content for visibility within AI-generated search results (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and others)
  • Develop and implement technical organic optimization strategies spanning site architecture, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and indexation across multiple brand properties
  • Oversee on-page and content strategy and optimization, partnering with content, product, and engineering teams to ensure best practices are embedded in how we build and publish
  • Build and maintain reporting frameworks that clearly connect SEO/GEO activity to traffic, revenue, and brand visibility outcomes; present performance and roadmap to executive leadership
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to apply AI tools and automation to improve team efficiency, content scaling, and search performance
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Content, and Paid Media teams to align organic search strategy with broader marketing and business goals
  • Stay ahead of the rapidly evolving AI search landscape—monitor platform changes, test new approaches, and continuously adapt strategy to maintain competitive advantage
  • Build and oversee the influencer marketing program and brand presence across key online forums, partnering with the content/social team to drive authentic engagement that supports organic discovery and brand authority 
  • Own the online reputation strategy across review platforms, forums, and AI-generated brand mentions. Monitoring sentiment and developing proactive programs to strengthen brand credibility and trust signals.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Science, or a related field required; advanced degree a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive SEO experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a team
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content strategy—with a proven track record of driving measurable organic growth
  • Hands-on experience with or deep understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)—how large language models surface content and what it takes to be cited or referenced in AI-generated answers
  • E-commerce industry experience strongly preferred; experience managing SEO across multiple brands or properties is a significant plus
  • Experience leading and developing remote or offshore teams
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Looker or Tableau for reporting
  • Strong technical foundation: comfortable with HTML, JavaScript SEO considerations, log file analysis, and structured data/schema markup
  • Familiarity with AI content and automation tools and how they can be applied responsibly to scale search programs
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data into clear strategic recommendations for executive audiences
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to influence stakeholders at all levels
