Job DetailsJob Location: Los Angeles, CA 90017Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Bachelors DegreeSalary Range: $90,989.00 - $135,612.00 SalaryTravel Percentage: Some Overnight TravelJob Shift: DayJob Category: Human ResourcesThe Physician and Provider Recruiter is Gracelight's dedicated recruiter for licensed provider talent. The position owns full-cycle recruitment for physicians, advanced practice providers, and other licensed clinicians across all sites, and is responsible for building and maintaining a continuous provider pipeline rather than reacting to vacancies as they occur. This is a sourcing and closing role and success is measured by provider hires completed, speed to fill, and the quality and retention of those hires. The position works under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer and in close partnership with Human Resources, Risk and Compliance, and health center leadership. It requires a person with a sales mindset, strong follow-through, and the credibility to build relationships with licensed clinicians. The successful recruiter understands how hiring manager behavior and candidate experience affect outcomes and communicates or escalates issues promptly. This position is compensated with a base salary plus a performance incentive tied to completed provider hires. Incentive eligibility, calculation, and payment terms are governed by a separate written incentive plan agreement. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as the dedicated recruiter for licensed provider positions across all sites, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified nurse midwives, psychiatrists and licensed behavioral health clinicians, dentists, optometrists, and podiatrists. Does not carry requisitions for non-provider positions. Owns the full recruitment cycle for provider requisitions from intake through offer acceptance, including sourcing, screening, interview and site visit coordination, offer preparation, and close. Sources candidates directly and continuously rather than only in response to open requisitions, and maintains recruiting relationships with residency, fellowship, and clinical training programs, professional associations, and provider networks. Positions Gracelight's Health Professional Shortage Area designation, National Health Service Corps loan repayment eligibility, and visa sponsorship or J-1 waiver options as recruitment advantages, coordinating with the Chief Medical Officer and outside immigration counsel on candidates requiring sponsorship. Develops an annual provider recruitment plan with the Chief Medical Officer based on projected vacancies, service line growth, and grant or scope of project commitments, and updates it quarterly. Prepares offer packages in coordination with the Chief Medical Officer and Human Resources, negotiates within approved parameters, and secures acceptance. Transfers the candidate to Human Resources at offer acceptance, after which post-offer processing is owned by Human Resources. Initiates credentialing and privileging by submitting complete candidate packets and tracking each file to completion, and coordinates start dates against credentialing, licensure, and payer enrollment timelines. The credentialing and privileging program is owned by Risk and Compliance. Documents all candidate activity in the applicant tracking system the same day it occurs, responds to candidate inquiries within one business day, and reports recruitment metrics on a schedule set by the Chief Medical Officer, including active pipeline, time to fill, offer acceptance rate, and provider retention at 90 days and one year. Meets hire targets established by the Chief Medical Officer. Reduces reliance on external search agencies and locum tenens by building a direct-hire pipeline, and manages agency relationships and recruitment spend within budget when outside support is required. Represents Gracelight at conferences, residency fairs, and recruitment events, follows up on all leads generated, and conducts provider compensation benchmarking to keep offers competitive. Performs all other duties as assigned.  Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field. Four years of relevant recruitment experience may be substituted for the degree. Three years of healthcare recruitment experience. Physician and advanced practice provider recruitment strongly preferred. Federally qualified health center experience preferred. Certification through the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment, formerly ASPR, preferred. Demonstrated record of directly sourcing and closing provider hires. Working knowledge of provider licensure, credentialing, and payer enrollment timelines and how each affects a start date. Familiarity with Health Professional Shortage Area designations, National Health Service Corps loan repayment, and J-1 visa waiver programs preferred. Proficient with an applicant tracking system and Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred. Requires use of a personal cell phone for business purposes. Gracelight provides a stipend per policy. Available for evenings, weekends, and out-of-area travel. As a condition of employment, must pass a background check, clear OIG and SAM exclusion screening, and complete health screening and TB clearance per Title XXII, maintained throughout employment.
