What will you be doing:Â
The Physician Assistant (PA-C) is responsible for working under the direct supervision of their Supervising Physician, the PA shall provide pre-op and post-op assessments of patients, provide and/or assist in follow-up care, and, in the Operating Room.Â
Supervise care for the patients in the Cardiac Surgery ICU ranging from CABG and valve replacement/repairs to implantable VADs, Heart and Lung transplants, ECMO, aortic dissections, and aneurysm repairsÂ
Perform bedside procedures within the scope of service, write progress notes, participate in daily rounds, write orders, dictate discharge notes, and participate in hospital wide quality improvement initiativesÂ
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.Â
