Our expert surgeons provide care for a wide range of conditions, from routine to complex. Each year, we perform approximately 32,000 surgeries in 42 operating rooms, with over one-third applying minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician for inpatient settings.
  • Conduct physical exams, collect and document data, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe interventions and medications, and coordinate patient care and discharge.
  • Maintain clinical responsibility for applying the Physician Assistant (PA-C) standard of care, including patient care, consultation, education, and other assigned duties.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans in collaboration with attending and consulting physicians.
  • Facilitate patient discharge and document care within the Epic system. Perform surgical procedures when within scope and privileges.
  • Participate in research and educational activities to improve professional development, including continuing education and professional organizations.
  • Assess and improve patient care delivery, bringing to bear evidence-based standards and protocols for positive outcomes.
  • Initiate emergency resuscitation and stabilization in compliance with hospital safety and infection control regulations.
  • Demonstrate procedural experience, particularly in managing drains, wound care, and chest tubes.
