A brief summary Â
We are seeking a detail focused Production Accountant to support our Client on their broadcast of multi-tier live esports championships and events. Â
You will partner closely with the Client’s internal stakeholders and production teams. The role centers around control and compliance which ultimately, empowers the team to make data-informed decisions.
Responsibilities include, processing and managing the financial data related to live events (e.g., Esports) and other production related financial projects. Tracking PO spending, reviewing invoices against contract values and terms, reviewing expenditure and ensuring good financial governance set against robust financial data integrity and policy compliance.Â
Reporting to the Global Events Service Delivery Manager, you will work closely with the Client’s Senior Manager in Production Finance.
Role is based out of Los Angeles, California with a hybrid-work flex. Some travel may be required to support which can be national or international for up to three weeks at a time. You must hold and maintain a valid passport or travel document.Â
What you’ll be responsible forÂ
Provide production-accounting support for assigned shows within established workflows and under the direction of the Senior Production. Support includes:
Partner with Line Producers, Production Managers, and vendors to ensure accurate maintenance of forecasting, tracking, and reporting of production expenses.
Track and categorize invoices and production costs using the Client's production chart of accounts, providing accurate actuals and forecast updates.
Create and distribute cost reports on a timely and regular basis.
Set up Odoo (or similar ERP), Â budget files for all events and assist Accountants and Line Producers with managing configurations (e.g., Globals footprints, currency exchange rates).
Simplify complex financial timelines into actionable one-sheets to ensure production teams remain aligned with project milestones (e.g., contract request deadlines).
Support the end-to-end purchase card process, including funding events, distributing funds to teams, auditing receipts and folios, and troubles-hooting  payment issues.
Identify and document recurring data or accounting issues, partner with the Senior Production Accountant to resolve and develop process improvements.
Cleanse historical event budget data to enable year-over-year reporting, support AI integration, and facilitate high-value analytics.
Maintain and audit consolidated financial reports, including Tableau dashboards, Allocadia, Notion trackers, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
Support Accounting, Tax, and Strategic Finance with their requests for accruals, billbacks, future event locations, and cash flow management.
Maintain documentation accuracy across the Accounting manual, finance calendar, and Production Finance Notion page.
Work with the Client’s purchasing teams to set up vendors in the Client’s purchasing systems, request contracts, and issue invoices.
Work with the Client’s Accounts Payable team to ensure Purchase Orders are paid in a timely manner.
Ad-hoc reporting and analysis and other job-related duties as assigned including the onboarding and directing junior team members who support in this space.Â

Required Qualifications
2+ years in Finance/Accounting with a heavy emphasis on budgeting, cost tracking, and audit/control functions.
Demonstrated ability to create and enforce workflows in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Communicate financial compliance requirements and strict deadlines clearly to non-finance stakeholders—including Producers and Creative Leads.
A high degree of accuracy in data entry and the ability to spot discrepancies in large, complex datasets.
Strong ability to prioritize, be proactive, and be detail oriented.
Proficient in the Google ecosystem (e.g., drive, docs, sheets).
Handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion.
A valid passport is required for this role.
Desired Background
Finance/Accounting with a heavy emphasis on budgeting, cost tracking, and audit/control functions. Live event experience (e.g., concerts), and/or esports experience a plus.
Strong experience with Odoo (or similar ERP) and Coupa
Familiarity with Coupa, IronClad, Slack, and Notion.
Demonstrated interest and experience in emerging technologies (AI and automation) is a plus.
Experience in processing payroll and labor laws.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business-related field.
Had previous experience onboarding and guiding junior team members.
