Our client, Rupert Construction Services (RCS), is a respected leader in construction management and project controls, supporting complex public-sector and aviation infrastructure programs. Known for precision, accountability, and execution, RCS plays a critical role in delivering high-visibility capital projects across dynamic environments.
Together, Praxis and RCS are seeking a Document Control Technician to support document management and information flow across major construction programs.
Keep Critical Project Information Accurate, Organized, and Moving
RCS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Technician to support document control operations across large-scale construction projects. This role is essential in ensuring that all project documentation is processed, tracked, and distributed accurately and efficiently across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process, track, and manage project documentation using document control systems (e.g., Prolog)Â
- Scan, index, link, and distribute project documents including RFIs, submittals, reports, drawings, and correspondenceÂ
- Maintain organized electronic and hard copy filing systems for all project documentation
- Prepare transmittals and ensure timely distribution of documents to project stakeholdersÂ
- Support Project Managers and Construction Teams with document tracking and coordinationÂ
- Maintain document logs and ensure compliance with project document control proceduresÂ
- Coordinate document flow between internal teams and external partners
- Create binders, labels, and organized filing systems for contract and project documentation
- Support onboarding and training of document control staff as neededÂ
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in document control, data management, or project administration
- Experience supporting large-scale construction projects, preferably in public-sector or aviation environmentsÂ
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple document workflows with strict deadlinesÂ
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional project teamsÂ
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Â
- Adobe Acrobat (required)Â
- Experience with document control systems such as Prolog or Documentum preferredÂ
- Familiarity with scanning, OCR tools, and digital document workflowsÂ
Education & Certification:
- Associate degree or equivalent technical trainingÂ
- Document control certification preferredÂ
Additional Details:
- May support both office and field-based construction environmentsÂ
- Must be able to travel between project sites as neededÂ
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionallyÂ
- Overtime or flexible shifts may be required based on project needsÂ
