Job DetailsJob Location: Arleta Dental Clinic - Arleta, CA 91331Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $27.04 - $33.12 HourlyJOB SUMMARY This position will assist the dentist and the dental hygienist in providing dental care to clinic patients.   ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare patients for dental procedures, including seating and draping. Assist the dentist during procedures, such as handling isntruments, rinsing, and suctioning. Take dental X-rays and teeth impressions for study casts. Perform coronal polishing. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition. Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment. Comply with dental infection control protocols. Prepare treatment rooms. Mix dental materials. Provide post-procedure care and instructions. Update patient records. Monitor and maintain dental supply inventory. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment. High level of professionalism, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office. Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards. Ability to build productive working relationships. Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization.   EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Graduate degree from an Accredited Dental Assisting program or CDA. 1 to 2 years of related experience.   CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE / LANGUAGE Registered Dental Assistant with the Dental Board of California. X-ray certified. Sealant certified. Coronal polish certified. Ultrasonic certified. Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.  El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service.  To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Walking, talking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds; hand and wrist dexterity to utilize a computer.   - AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER -
