Air-Cert, LLC is seeking a motivated, entry-level Repair Shop Assistant to support our repair technicians in an FAA Part 145 Repair Shop. In this role, you'll use your mechanical aptitude to support mechanics with hands-on tasks such as replacing air hoses, testing equipment, and changing fluids, while maintaining clean, organized tools, work areas, shop floors, and test stands. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in aviation maintenance and build a foundation for growth within the industry. The role is based indoors in a climate-controlled workspace and the work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 7am – 4pm.
Compensation:Â
- The salary range for the Repair Shop Assistant position is $19.00-$22.00/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and organize tools and work areas
- Keep the shop floor clean and free of debris
- Provide general support to mechanics as needed
- Replace air hoses as directed
- Clean and maintain test stands

- May perform special projects and other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in aviation maintenance or mechanical shops is a plus
- Proven mechanical aptitude.Â

- Must be authorized to work in the US and able to provide documentation as required by law

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
This position works onsite in the Company’s Repair Shop.Â
- Work is primarily performed in a repair shop environment with moderate noise levels.
- Regularly communicate in verbal and written form and able to hear.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Frequently utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 40 pounds.
- Able to frequently reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
