Position Summary

The Research Analyst will support the ReWork team with research and evaluation projects focused on labor and workplace conditions. Specifically, the Research Analyst will contribute to research and evaluation for the Domestic Worker and Employer Education and Outreach Program (DWEOP) and the California Worker Outreach Program (CWOP). These statewide initiatives educate low-wage workers and domestic workers about their rights. The research and evaluation work includes surveys, interviews, focus groups, literature reviews, and analysis of government and administrative data sources. Key responsibilities include supporting research design and methodology development, coordinating data collection efforts, implementing studies, analyzing data, and supporting the writing and dissemination of findings. The Research Analyst will work as part of a collaborative research team to produce reports and develop visually engaging materials for a range of audiences, including community partners, policymakers, and the public. The role requires active engagement with domestic worker organizations, worker centers, community partners, and stakeholders across Los Angeles and California.

Qualifications

  • 3 Years Demonstrated research experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required) And
  • Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. (Required) And
  • Experience in project coordination, including adherence to project timelines, liaising with partners, overseeing fielding and data analysis plans. (Required)
  • Quantitative research Experience includes familiarity with survey and census datasets, survey platforms (e.g. Qualtrics), and statistical software (e.g. R, SPSS). (Required)
  • Qualitative Experience includes experience conducting interviews, coding, and using analysis software (e.g Dedoose). (Required) And
  • Experience with mixed-methods research and evaluation approaches, including participatory and community-engaged research and evaluation. (Required)
  • Demonstrated quantitative or qualitative research skills, such as developing protocols, conducting surveys or interviews, analyzing data, and summarizing findings. (Required)
  • Ability to conduct literature reviews on a wide range of industries and policies. (Required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and accessible reports and presentations. (Required)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work well with community partners, stakeholders, students, and academics through community-led research with labor leaders and organizations, government agencies, and rank-and-file workers. (Required)
  • Ability to take initiative and manage workload with minimal supervision. (Required)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. (Required)

  • Familiarity with California and Los Angeles worker rights organizations, including Labor unions, worker centers, and other relevant organizations. (Required)
  • Coursework and/or applied research experience in industrial relations, labor economics, and/or labor market analysis. (Preferred)

  • Bachelor's Degree In a related area and / or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
  • Master's Degree In public policy, economics, sociology, or related discipline or equivalent experience / training (Preferred)
