Retail Planning Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:   

Support multiple lines of business to conduct data analysis on retail banking strategies including branch, deposit, products client analytics, market, and demographic analysis. Assist with projects requiring knowledge of client and banking office factors influencing profitability and operations. Assist with performing data analysis to provide functional recommendations and evaluations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Analysis (30%)

• Assist with analyzing and compiling enterprise data, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
• Research the impact that changing regulations, mergers and acquisitions, new products, or markets may have on the business unit.  
• Prepare analytics on branching markets and analysis including assessment of current or potential markets (i.e., digital markets).
• Assist in gathering, compiling, and reviewing information and data to examine and evaluate existing procedures and market networks.

Project Management (40%)

• Participate in project activities including prioritizing, developing schedules, determining resources, preparing plans, data and documentation, implementation, and resolving issues.

Reporting (30%)

• Provide support in the creation of required documents as well as data flow and use case diagrams to provide financial guidance and assistance based on these data analytics to department manager.
• Assist with identifying data sources, coordinate data feeds from external sources as needed and develop, or coordinate the development of reports, queries, forms and screens to meet process and information needs of business unit.
• Assist with designing and implementing ongoing reporting and analysis processes and models.
• Prepare enterprise reports on a regular basis

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, marketing or related field is preferred. 
• 1 year experience as business analyst with preferred experience in retail/commercial banking or financial industry preferred.
• Knowledge of the operations of all relevant business unit and a working knowledge of the financial impacts and consequences of business decisions. 
• General knowledge of the market analytics affecting existing or prospective markets.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in financial industry, bank operations, and business strategies preferred.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Financial analysis skills and technical skills preferred.
• Ability in project coordination, research, and financial analysis.
• Bilingual in spoken, reading Mandarin Chinese is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

• Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less. 

COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:

• Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Standard office environment. Noise level in work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. 

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $23/Hr. - USD $28/Hr. plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
