The Safety Systems and Compliance Program LeadĀ is responsible forĀ overseeing all safety systems, regulatory compliance programs, andĀ requiredĀ documentation across the organization. This role ensures full compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and fire/life safety standards whileĀ maintainingĀ accurateĀ records, permits, and reporting systems. The position plays a critical role in enabling safe, compliant operations across facilities and deployed environments, while driving the company toward achieving ISO safety and environmental standards.

Manage andĀ maintainĀ all regulatory permits and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirementsĀ

EnsureĀ operational safetyĀ compliance with applicableĀ Client Contracts and Vendor AgreementsĀ

Oversee Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) programs, including inspections, documentation, and reportingĀ

Administer Land Use Control (LUC) zones, ensuring adherence to site-specific restrictions and requirementsĀ

Own training record management, including tracking, reporting, and ensuring compliance with required safety training programsĀ

Ensure compliance with OSHA standards andĀ maintainĀ audit readiness at all timesĀ

Oversee fire and life safety programs, including inspections, system compliance, and coordination with local authoritiesĀ

Manage hazardous waste programs, including proper storage, labeling, manifesting, and recordkeepingĀ

Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) systems, ensuring accessibility, accuracy, and compliance with Hazard Communication standardsĀ

Lead efforts to develop, implement, and achieve ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001), including system development, audits, and certification readinessĀ

Ensure compliance across multiple state regulatory environments, with a strong understanding of requirements in Georgia, California, and FloridaĀ

Conduct audits, inspections, and gap assessments, driving corrective actions to closureĀ

PartnerĀ with operations and site leadership to ensure safety and compliance requirements are integrated into daily activitiesĀ

Track, report, and communicate compliance metrics, risks, and program status to leadershipĀ

Bachelorās degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)Ā

5+ years of experience in EHS, compliance, or safety systems managementĀ

Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and fire/life safety standardsĀ

Demonstrated experience managing compliance across multiple states, including Georgia, California, and FloridaĀ

Experience managing permits, SWPPP, hazardous waste, and compliance documentation systemsĀ

High attention to detail with strong organizational and recordkeeping capabilitiesĀ

Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentĀ
Preferred Qualifications:Ā

Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHMM, or equivalent)Ā

Ability to move throughout office, hangar, and industrial environments, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs for extended periods

Ability to conduct site inspections, including accessing confined, elevated, or restricted areas as needed (e.g., rooftops, mechanical spaces, test stands)

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., safety equipment, inspection tools, documentation materials)

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators (as required), gloves, and protective footwear

Ability to visually inspect work areas, equipment, labeling, and documentation for compliance and safety risks

Ability to operate standard office equipment and technology for documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking

Work is performed across a combination of office, manufacturing and outdoor environments, including active test and operational sites

Regular exposure to industrial conditions such as noise, vibration, moving machinery, chemicals, fuels, and varying temperatures

Frequent interaction with engineering, operations, facilities, and test teams in fast-paced, high-consequence environments

Up to 25ā40% travel to multiple sites, including Atlanta, GA; Los Angeles/Hawthorne, CA; Jacksonville, FL; and other deployed or test locations as needed

May be required to support audits, inspections, or operational activities outside of normal business hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends

Work may involve supporting compliance activities in high-risk environments such as flight test operations, engine testing, and hazardous material handling areas

Must be comfortable working in environments requiring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements
