Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time in Sherman Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, and tenant corridors, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Assist with access control, visitor inquiries, directions, lost-and-found processes, and other customer-service needs in a busy retail environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed patrols in accordance with Allied Universal and location-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
