Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Breaker in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants and visitors. You will use communication and technology skills to document activities and respond professionally to evolving needs. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to property management and/or appropriate responders.
  • Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
