About the Role
This is a high-ownership Senior Product Designer role on a small, elite design team building an AI-native Loan Origination System — reimagining mortgage software for the first time in decades. You'll own design end-to-end across core product areas, working at the intersection of complex fintech workflows, AI-native UX, and hands-on code contribution.
What You'll Do
Own entire feature areas from discovery and Figma design through prototyping directly in local dev environments, with designs moving from Figma to code the same day.
Design complex, data-dense UIs and multi-step automation workflows for AI-native mortgage tooling, including agentic flows, streaming content, and probabilistic outputs.
Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and client-facing users to gather requirements and validate concepts through rapid iteration.
Contribute to a component system migration (ShadCN) and maintain scalable design system assets.
Participate in weekly design critiques and partner closely with engineering and product to ship features with real user impact.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of product design experience (UI/UX), with at least 3+ years designing complex, workflow-heavy SaaS products — enterprise systems, data-dense UIs, multi-step workflows — shipped to production.
Proven track record shipping real products in startup or small-team environments (seed to Series C); pure Big Tech or pure agency backgrounds are not a fit.
Actively works in or alongside code — opening PRs, prototyping in local dev environments, vibe coding — beyond Figma-to-handoff.
Deep Figma proficiency: components, variants, auto-layout, and prototyping, with a bias toward shipping fast over pixel-perfection.
Familiarity with ShadCN, Storybook, Linear, V0, Cursor, React, and TypeScript.
Portfolio with 2–3 detailed case studies showing B2B/SaaS problem statements, design process, and shipped outcomes.
Experience designing AI-native UX: agentic flows, automation workflows, streaming content, and probabilistic outputs is a strong plus.
Background in fintech, lending, regulated industries, or document-heavy workflow design is a strong plus.
Strong visual design polish, UI craft, and high-quality product design execution.
Currently designing hands-on; not fully transitioned into management or non-design roles.
Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $200,000 – $300,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Fully remote within the United States (primary location: Los Angeles, CA). Occasional domestic travel to client sites required.
