About the Role

Join a cross-functional engineering team at a high-growth B2B SaaS company building a modern operating platform for the construction industry. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll lead the design and delivery of large, complex technical products end-to-end — shaping scalable infrastructure that directly impacts users and the business.

What You'll Do

Lead the design and implementation of large, complex technical features from conception to production.
Build and maintain modular full-stack infrastructure spanning frontend UI and backend API layers.
Develop data models and APIs, including integrations with financial and payroll services.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to understand user needs and inform strategic decisions.
Deliver production-ready software using Node.js/Express.js, MongoDB, TypeScript, React, and React Native, deployed on Render.
Drive best practices in testing, performance, and security, and mentor peers to elevate engineering standards.

What We're Looking For

4+ years of full-stack software engineering experience delivering production systems.
Proven track record of leading the end-to-end design and implementation of large, complex technical products.
Strong proficiency with Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Solid expertise in data modeling, API development, and building modular, scalable full-stack architecture.
Experience with React and React Native.
Familiarity with Stripe (Issuing, Treasury), Render, and Check is a strong plus.
Product- and user-oriented mindset with the ability to contribute to strategic product decisions.
Strong CS fundamentals and communication skills — able to articulate complex topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with a founder's mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $190,000 – $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location

Hybrid — primary location is Los Angeles, CA. Candidates based in New York City or San Francisco may also be considered.
