SUMMARY:  The position of Journeyman - Electrician is to aid in the construction of electrical projects. This is a union position. The pay structure and benefits are determined by the union.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish production goals and audit progress ensuring work is completed within schedule and budget expectations.
  • Manage the planning and execution of projects and contracts by organizing work methods and developing schedules.
  • Manage and oversee the delivery and use of equipment and materials according to customer specifications and contract requirements.
  • Manage training and development of workforce through Baker Electric training and development programs.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with safe work methods and procedures.
  • Oversee workforce at all assigned jobs/projects.
  • Manage quality control functions.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and people skills are required.
  • Able to recognize and develop the workforce with a strong focus on safety and completing projects within scheduled timeframe.
  • Availability for overnight travel.

 

 EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Electrical Certification
  • Successful completion of Apprenticeship program with local IBEW
  • CAL-OSHA 30 Certification
  • First Aid / Adult CPR certification
  • Valid Driver’s License

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

The hourly rate for this position is based on the local I.B.E.W. union rates. Other benefits may apply. For those not already part of the I.B.E.W union we will facilitate joining.
