About the Role: Smeraldi's Cook
As our Smeraldi's Cook, you will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Your Impact
You will support day-to-day operations, support team performance, and ensure service standards are consistently delivered. You’ll act as a bridge between leadership and frontline teams—driving accountability, engagement, and results.

Operations & Execution

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and quality guidelines.
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment before service.
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and storage areas.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Properly label, date, and store food items to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of product shortages.
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries.
- Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Culinary or Executive Chef.

Technical / Role-Specific Requirements

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Ability to physically lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Passion for food and commitment to quality service.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Education/Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Food Handler Card required.
