About the Role
Join a small, high-caliber engineering team building a modern banking and cash management platform for consumer brands. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and founders to design, build, and iterate on core product features — owning projects end-to-end from scoping through shipping and refinement.
What You'll Do
Design, build, test, and ship features across the platform, from backend services to frontend experiences.
Lead technically complex, cross-functional projects with a high degree of ownership.
Design and maintain APIs, debug complex distributed systems, and write thorough tests.
Contribute to engineering culture, standards, and best practices on a growing team.
Collaborate directly with founders and product teammates to make thoughtful product tradeoffs.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer delivering production systems.
Proficiency in Kotlin, TypeScript/React, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud.
Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver technically challenging, cross-functional projects.
Strong product sense and comfort working with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
Writes clean, maintainable, high-quality code and knows when to ship versus refactor.
Familiarity with financial concepts, or a clear track record of picking up domain-specific knowledge quickly.
Experience building B2B or consumer fintech/payments products is a plus.
Background at a startup or small-team environment is a plus.
Strong CS fundamentals.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $200,000 – $260,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site, 5 days a week. Primary location is New York City, NY — Toronto, ON is also available.
