Spanish Interpreter (Los Angeles, CA)

Job Description

This is an independent contractor position offering a flexible work schedule and ongoing opportunities.

The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings. Assignments are based in Los Angeles, CA and are available on a regular basis, depending on the demand for specific languages and the interpreters qualifications.



Qualifications

• Fluency in both Spanish and English
• Be based in Los Angeles, CA

• Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings, with the highest level of fidelity to the original communication

• Strong ability to interpret orally between Spanish and English in both directions

• Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds

• Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders

• Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience

• Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary

• Possession of a valid California license
