- Responsible for the daily operations of the sterile processing department
- Responsible for the supervision of staff assigned to sterile processing
- Coordinates the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packing and sterilization of instrumentation
- Accountable for maintaining the established standards of quality for the department
- Assist in the development and review of policy and procedures as they apply to sterile processing
- Assist with sterile processing staff education, training, development and competency
- Prioritize workflow based on the surgical schedule and case volume
- Review sterilization logs and  scan documentation into CensiTrack
- Check sterile trays and supplies for integrity and expiration dates
- Act as a liaison between doctors, staff and vendors
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the department
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in Leadership as a Lead Tech Supervisor in a Trauma facility
Familiarity of AAMI and AORN Standards and regulatory agency requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Surgical Technology or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
- Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required
- Fire Safety within 90-days
- Association of Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Certificate required
Preferred:
- Cert Sterile Processing Dist Tech (CSPDT-CBSPD)
