About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-growing live commerce and creator-driven agency environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and general ledger activity.
The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment, understands revenue recognition, and is comfortable working cross-functionally.
What You Will Be Doing:
General Ledger & Month-End Close
- Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue, payroll entries)
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts monthly
- Maintain supporting schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and deferred revenue
- Assist with monthly financial close and variance analysis
- Ensure clean and accurate chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online
Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Process vendor bills and ensure proper coding
- Manage payment runs and maintain organized documentation
- Support 1099 tracking and year-end reporting
- Support invoicing workflow and collections follow-up
- Monitor aging reports and assist with client reconciliations
- Track pass-through vs. adjusted net revenue categorization
- Apply payments and manage deferred revenue entries when cash is received in advance
Payroll
- Support payroll reconciliations and benefits allocations
- Assist with employee reimbursements and expense reviews
- Ensure accurate coding of payroll-related expenses by department
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting software)
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration ability
- An interest in TikTok is a plus!
