Our Los Angeles office is looking for a Trial Preparation Specialist to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely production of all pre-trial and post-trial documents in the trial phase of the unlawful detainer process.   About Us: With over 45 years in the California legal industry and six offices statewide, our firm was founded on a commitment to customer service that has flourished within our culture of inclusion and diversity. Compensation Range: $27.00-$32.00 p/hour (DOE) Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with contested evictions to ensure the efficient and timely production of all pre-trial and trial documents in the trial phase of the unlawful detainer process Review Answers and communicate with Client regarding potential defects/defenses Propound discovery and monitor responses or lack of Create case summaries for the assigned attorney Maintain communication with attorneys regarding upcoming court cases Contact clients prior to trial to confirm dates, times, and court locations Organize exhibits E-Filing documents Make calls to court to follow up on matters Manage attorney’s calendars for court and trial dates Provide any needed support for jury trials or long bench trials where additional file organization is needed. Perform other duties as assigned   Qualifications: We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: 2+ years of legal or law firm experience Ability to manage a high-volume workload Ability to multi-task and complete work in a timely and efficient manner Experience with e-filing Strong communication skills and attention to detail Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute Familiarity with Microsoft Word and PDF editor   The following qualifications are preferred: ABA-approved paralegal certificate Essential Forms and ProLaw efficiency   Schedule: Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday. We currently offer a hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.   Why Work for Us?
