Job Description
As a Unarmed Security Officer Train Station Graveyard in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or public agency personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned government property, including buildings, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe persons entering or leaving the location, following established visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and maintenance-related reports in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
