Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII) is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The TIG Welder will be responsible for setting up and operating welding equipment to produce high-quality welded assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and company quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of TIG welding experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and experience welding precision metal components in a manufacturing environment.

Key Performance Deliverables

  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to weld metal components and assemblies.
  • Perform TIG welding on materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
  • Prepare parts for welding by cleaning, cutting, fitting, and positioning materials.
  • Select the appropriate welding equipment, settings, filler materials, and techniques based on job requirements.
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, penetration, appearance, and conformance to specifications.
  • Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Identify welding defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Maintain welding equipment and report any equipment concerns or maintenance needs.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Quality personnel to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding procedures, materials, filler metals, and equipment settings.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to produce clean, consistent, and high-quality welds.
  • MIG welding experience is a plus.
  • Aerospace, defense, hydraulic, or precision manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be dependable and able to meet production schedules.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to use welding equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments safely.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.

Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm 

Salary Expectations:

$25- $27 HR.
