Description

Harmony Place treatment facility is located in the upscale area of Woodland Hills, California. We specialize in helping our clients obtain the life skills needed to overcome drug and alcohol addiction as well as co-occurring mental health problems.

Primary Purpose and Function

The therapist fulfills direct service, including individual, couple/family and group psychotherapy, consultations, and crisis intervention.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • Licensed by California Board of Behavioral Sciences license eligible (AMFT; ASW), in good standing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from substance abuse and/or mental illness.
  • DHCS Standard 13010(b)(6) requires personnel file to contain health screening report and tuberculosis test results.
  • Core Competency (minimum skills, knowledge, and experience needed to preform essential functions and responsibilities)
  • Clinical assessment & diagnosis

  • Case presentation
  • Therapeutic interventions

Requirements

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Knowledge of drug and alcohol dependency, mental health, family systems and 12-step/recovery resources in the community.
  2. Maintain appropriate documentation as required.
  3. Conduct assessments of clients at the time of admission and re-assessments as required.
  4. Conduct mental status examinations.
  5. Provide appropriate diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on a review of the client’s history, signs, and symptoms.
  6. Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed.
  7. Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff.
  8. Crisis intervention services, including 5150 determinations.
  9. Treatment Planning.
  10. Participation in Case Conference Reviews.
  11. Provide Utilizations Reviews as required.
  12. Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and relate issues.
