Business Intelligence Analyst - Manufacturing/Production

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Production Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources, including competitors and industry trends. They will also create and manage data warehouses, generate reports and dashboards, and work with business stakeholders to optimize business insight tools and systems. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about leveraging data to drive business insights and decision-making.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

• Build and Maintain Reports: Develop reports and dashboards from multiple data sources.
• Data Consolidation and Analysis: Collect data from four distinct sources (including materials, work orders, and silver demand) and consolidate it into a unified system.
• Identify Issues and Discrepancies: Find discrepancies, gaps, or errors within the data (e.g., sales vs. production). This includes identifying where problems exist and understanding where they originate.
• Production Data Management: Understand production operations, including orders (leather, silver), work orders, open work in process by division, and overall silver demand.
• Data Quality: Clean and prepare data before using it in reports or analytics. This involves ensuring data accuracy and consistency, identifying any issues with the data flow.
• Decision Support: Help assess production capabilities based on available silver and existing orders. Ensure proper inventory management (e.g., transfer orders, backlog orders).
• Continuous Improvement: Take ownership of data processes, help streamline workflows, and build reporting systems from scratch.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 2+ years of experience working with data reporting and analytics.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues within datasets. Strong attention to detail.
• Database Knowledge: Proficient in working with databases and understanding how data flows across various systems.
• Production Knowledge: Familiarity with production environments, especially related to materials, work orders, and inventory management.
• Data Cleaning & Accuracy: Experience in cleaning, preparing, and maintaining accurate data sets.
• Self-Starter: Ability to build systems from the ground up and independently figure out solutions to data challenges.
