Group Fitness Instructor - Yoga - Heimat LA

The Group Fitness Instructor will lead our signature club classes and deliver a unique world class group fitness experience. We are looking for enthusiastic and charismatic instructors to provide excellent and first-class experience throughout our six purpose-built training studios.

Our Group Fitness Instructor should be able to demonstrate passion, exceptional skills, and strong acumen in the modalities of strength, cardio, HIIT, barre, yoga, reformer Pilates, kinesis, and/or cycling. This position will report directly to the Fitness Manager and will utilize coaching and feedback from applicable Studio Leads.

• Responsible for proper instruction and execution of Group Fitness classes, ensuring consistency and uniformity for classes of up to 40 members.
• Motivate and uplift members while leading them through a safe, coordinated, and dynamic workout experience.
• Empower and educate members with clear understanding on the science and purpose of the created workout.
• Perform or present proper anatomical cueing and courteous progressions/regressions of the exercises, depending on the member’s skill level. Proper cueing and progressions/regressions should be interwoven into the class instantaneously and seamlessly.
• Challenge, while continuously supporting and motivating, members of all fitness levels with thoughtful programming and clear methods of communication.
• Ensure the safety and active participation of our members during class performance and providing adjustments when necessary.
• Responsible for the proper maintenance and storage of class equipment, ensuring our members have safe and appropriate items as needed.
• Ensure and maintain our facility standards, upholding the integrity of HEIMAT members experience.
• Support our leadership team, as needed, such as teaching at special events, private events, and for our VIP members.
• Keep a pulse on the latest fitness trends in the fitness industry and applying when appropriate to elevate the HEIMAT members experience.
• Attend an audition and/or interview with the Fitness Management team to demonstrate instructor tone, teaching presence, musicality, and foundational scientific knowledge of kinesiology and/or sports education.
