KH212 - Part-Time Housekeeper - Los Angeles, CA

Overview

A kind and worldly couple in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles is seeking a part-time housekeeper/house manager. The position has a flexible start date but ideally asap. The position will be approximately 3 days per week, though there is quite a bit of flexibility in the schedule. The position will be a combination of deep cleaning, tidying/organizing/maintenance, and errands/house management. The ideal schedule would be a late morning start such as 9 or 10 am. 

Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning • Laundry • Making beds • General tidying up in common areas • Keeping the kitchen tidy, including loading and unloading the dishwasher and taking out the trash • Maintaining organization/figuring out new systems when needed • Making sure that everything is in stock (paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc) • Errands including: dry cleaning, returning packages, etc. • Managing repairs/small house projects (finding vendors and tradesmen as needed) • Light pet care (taking dog to groomer, letting dog outside, etc.) • The principals travel quite often, and when they travel, ask that the candidate hired check in on the house, meet vendors, etc. Overnights will not be required. • There is potential for additional hours at a nearby relative’s home if desired

Qualifications

• Naturally organized
• Professional, discreet, and respectful of boundaries
• Pitch-in attitude and a proactive and positive personality

Requirements

• Excellent communication in both written and spoken English
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable working in a home with a friendly dog
• Experience working in private homes
• Legally able to work in the US

Salary and Benefits

$35-45 per hour DOE
