POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Part-Time Merchandiser is responsible for calling on independent and chain stores within a specific area to increase sales and distribution.  They ensure that Tampico products adhere to merchandising and customer service standards.  While using creativity and teamwork, the merchandiser also increases distribution on all packages within current accounts and potential new customers. This position reports to the West Region Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•    Increase distribution within the retailers by building displays and strategic POS placement

•    Ensure each account is meeting Tampico Retail Standards

•    Collaborate with store-level management to effectively communicate account activities 

•    Sell in the entire Tampico portfolio including additional flavors & alternative packs as well as National, Regional, and Local promotional programs

•    Maintain and utilize proper Tampico POS inventory levels and company assets

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    1+ year(s) of CPG sales and/or merchandising experience a plus

•    High School Diploma or equivalent required

•    Valid driver's license and good driving record within Tampico policy guidelines

•    Bilingual – English / Spanish a plus

•    Ability to creatively build product displays at existing and new retail accounts

•    Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

•    Merchandiser must be prepared to travel to different locations 

•    Ability to communicate with multiple groups – peers, company personnel, and retail personnel

•    Must reside in  Los Angeles, California
