The Service Expeditor at Neighborly is a guest facing role that plays a critical part in creating a memorable dining experience. Runners do more than deliver food - they actively maintain the dining room, bus/pre-bus tables, anticipate guest needs, and ensure every guest feels cared for throughout their visit. This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, observant, proactive, takes pride in a clean and organized space, and enjoys engaging with guests in a genuine and Neighborly way.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
Deliver food orders to guests with accuracy and care, confirming each order before it is presented and ensuring the food arrives promptly and professionally.
Maintain a clean, organized, and showtime ready dining room at all times, including clearing and resetting tables, wiping surfaces, managing bus stations, sweeping floors, emptying trash, and completing routine restroom checks.
Proactively check in with guests throughout their visit, anticipating needs such as utensils, napkins, beverages, sauces, or additional assistance.
Create a warm, welcoming environment through friendly, genuine interactions that make guests feel noticed and cared for.
Uphold all company safety, sanitation, and food handling standards to ensure the health and safety of guests and team members.
Excellent communication and people skills with a friendly, guest focused demeanor
Sense of urgency and able to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively with team members
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
Able to work flexible hours as necessary
Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day
Must be able bag/box orders, lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Previous experience in food service is preferred
