Position Summary:Â
Clinica Romero is seeking a dedicated and motivated Workforce Development Intern to support the implementation and coordination of training and professional development programs for staff and volunteers. This part-time internship (20 hours per week) offers an excellent opportunity for a current undergraduate student interested in community health, workforce development, or organizational learning to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.Â

Key Responsibilities:Â
Training Support & CoordinationÂ
- Assist in updating training materials such as presentations, handouts, and digital resources.
- Support the planning and facilitation of live training sessions (virtual and in-person).
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content relevance.
- Gather and review participant feedback for program improvement.
Scheduling & LogisticsÂ
- Help maintain an up-to-date training calendar.
- Coordinate with departments to schedule sessions based on staff needs.
- Assist with logistics for internal and external training events.
- Send training announcements and reminders to participants.
Tracking & Data ManagementÂ
- Support tracking of attendance, completion rates, and certifications.
- Help maintain training records using internal systems or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Assist with documentation for compliance and grant reporting.
Administrative & Strategic SupportÂ
- Participate in team meetings to assess emerging training needs.
- Research best practices in workforce development and training methodologies.
- Provide responsive support to staff and volunteers engaging in training.
Contribute to proposals or planning documents for new initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:Â
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Public Health, Education, Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in workforce development within a Community Health Center (CHC) setting.
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); willingness to learn LMS platforms.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
