About The Position

 We are seeking a skilled Women and Adolescent Health Physician for a locum tenens position at a clinic in California. This 120-day assignment begins on 06/23/2025, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing comprehensive women's health services, including pap smears, IUD insertions, Nexplanon implants, cervical exams, and wet mounts. This opportunity offers a chance to manage basic outpatient gynecological cases in a fast-paced environment. The physician should be adaptable, willing to learn, and able to provide high-quality care to women and adolescent patients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive women's health services, including preventive care and screenings

• Perform pap smears, IUD insertions, Nexplanon implants, and cervical exams

• Conduct wet mount microscopy for vaginal infections

• Manage basic outpatient gynecological cases

• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for patient documentation

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records

• Stay updated on the latest women's health practices and technologies

• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to clinic protocols

• Provide patient education on reproductive health and preventive care

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in California

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Family Medicine with a focus on Women's Health required

• Proficiency in Cerner EHR system preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• No deliveries required

• Possibility of assignment extension
