About The Position
We are excited to offer a fulfilling opportunity for a Psychiatrist specializing in adult care to join our client's healthcare team in California on a locum tenens basis. This role focuses primarily on treating a lower-income adult population, emphasizing thoughtful and comprehensive psychiatric evaluations. The position is set in a supportive environment that allows ample time for both new evaluations and follow-ups, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Location: California
- Start Date: Jul 14, 2025
- LOA: 48 weeks
- Provider Type Needed: Psychiatrist
- Schedule: 2 days per week, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations within 60-90 minutes, including time for dictation
- Perform 30-minute follow-up consultations to assess progress and adjust treatments
- Handle a patient load of 12-16 per day, focusing on adults
- Use the Valant EMR system for documentation and management of patient records
Additional Information
- Board certification in Psychiatry is required
- Valid California medical license necessary
- New graduates are welcome to apply
