Gensler Los Angeles is currently seeking an experienced Technical Designer (Job Captain) with a successful track record and architectural background. In this position, you will collaborate with a team of designers and architects to produce technical documentation and communicate project progress to team members, ensuring our projects exceed client expectations.Â
What You Will DoÂ
Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of projectsÂ
Provide project team coordination for incorporating design intent into construction documentationÂ
Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues and maintain quality control during constructionÂ
Coordinate and Direct consultants, specification writers to meet overall project objectivesÂ
Collaborate with Contractors, Fabricators and Regulatory Agencies /3rd party teams Â
Utilize hand sketches and 3D software, and Revit to communicate design conceptsÂ
Your QualificationsÂ
3-8 years of related professional experienceÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related fieldÂ
Experience in leading retail projects is a plusÂ
Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications and construction techniquesÂ
Knowledge of sustainable design strategies and experience on net zero projects is a plusÂ
Experience in construction document preparation and field observationÂ
Strong leadership, organizational, verbal and written communication, and relationship management skillsÂ
Strong Revit skills (Level 4 or 5) required; and experience in AutoCad, Adobe CS, SketchUp, and other 3D modeling software a plusÂ
On the path to licensure preferredÂ

**The base salary will be estimated between $80,000 - $95,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience. Â
