Houseperson Job Description 

Summary of Position:

Responsible for the completion of general cleaning and shampooing of Hotel guest rooms, transporting guest luggage, moving furniture, setting up roll-away beds and baby cribs. Available for guest deliveries such as laundry, packages, faxes, roll-away beds and baby cribs. Responsibilities include but not limited to, general housekeeping, vacuuming, mopping, shampooing, waxing, etc.

Summary of Essential Functions:

• Uphold Coyle,Forbesand all Service Standards.
• Reports to work as scheduled, in uniform, well groomed, and ready to be in position.
• Maintains professional relationships with all coworkers.
• Followschecklists and standard operating procedures.
• Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.
• Complete assigned general cleaning and shampooing of guest rooms. 
• Respondin a timely mannerto guest requests for deliveries, laundry, packages, faxes, roll-away beds, baby cribs,instructionsorassistanceas requested. 
• Transport guest luggage, move furniture, flip mattresses,assistRoom Attendants with removal of trash and linen from guestrooms during high occupancy turnover. 
• Accommodate Room Attendant requests for supplies orassistance. 
• Regular attendance inconformancewithHotelpolicy.
• Respond to pager ina timelyfashion.
• Report all maintenance deficiencies in guestrooms and corridors to yourSupervisor.
• Turn in all items foundtoHousekeeping Lost and Found.

• The safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals, as per OSHA regulations andHotelpolicy. 
• Adhere to allHotelsafety procedures, including the use of back support, gloves, protective eye wear as needed. 
• The safe use of any cleaning machinery.
• Other tasks as assigned.
