TheĀ AIĀ ArchitectĀ is a member of a highlyĀ motivated CAAĀ TechĀ team responsible for accelerating the creation of opportunity through the strategic use of data.Ā In this role, you will design andĀ architect intelligent systemsĀ that transform complexĀ informationĀ into structured knowledge and actionable insights using modern AI,Ā LLMs,Ā machine learning, and generativeĀ approachesĀ to solve complex business problems, while defining architectural patterns, technical standards, and integration approaches that enable scalable enterprise adoptionĀ and implementation.Ā You willĀ operateĀ across the full lifecycle,Ā from experimentation and evaluation to deployment andĀ optimization,Ā guiding system design andĀ developingĀ solutionsĀ that ingest, interpret, and reason over large volumes ofĀ data. Responsibilities

AI ArchitectureĀ 

  • Define and evolve reference architectures for AI, machine learning, and generative AI systemsĀ 

  • Establish technical standards, patterns, and best practices for scalable and secure AI developmentĀ 

  • Guide platform decisions across data, model development,Ā and deployment infrastructureĀ 

  • Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and vendors aligned with longĀ term architectural directionĀ 

Ā 

Development ofĀ AIĀ Solutions

  • Design and implement endĀ toĀ end AI workflows forĀ complex data interpretation, knowledge extraction, and reasoningĀ 

  • Build systems that convert unstructured content into structured representationsĀ 

  • Develop andĀ optimizeĀ retrieval approaches that combine semantic and lexical search techniquesĀ 

  • Prototype, evaluateĀ approaches,Ā test feasibility,Ā and productionize generative AI solutions for realĀ world use casesĀ 

  • Partner with engineering teams to develop technology infrastructureĀ 

  • OptimizeĀ systems for latency, cost, and throughputĀ 

Ā 

Evaluation, Reliability, and QualityĀ 

  • Design and implement evaluation approaches to assess performance, relevance, and effectiveness of AI solutionsĀ 

  • Apply techniques to improve consistency, accuracy, and trustworthiness of outputsĀ 

  • Implement methods for scoring, explainability, and ongoing quality assuranceĀ 

  • Monitor deployedĀ solutionsĀ and data pipelines for performance, stability, and data quality over timeĀ 

  • Incorporate responsible AI practices including transparency, bias mitigation, and risk controlsĀ

Collaboration and CommunicationĀ 

  • Work closely with crossĀ functional team to align data science initiatives with business prioritiesĀ 

  • Partner with leadership toĀ identifyĀ and prioritize highĀ impact opportunities for data science applicationsĀ 

  • Present insights and recommendations through clear visualizations tailored for audiences acrossĀ different rolesĀ andĀ expertiseĀ levelsĀ

Required CapabilitiesĀ 

  • MinimumĀ 10+Ā years buildingĀ AI, MachineĀ LearningĀ andĀ NLP solutionsĀ 

  • MinimumĀ 5+Ā years building applied AI/LLM andĀ generative systemsĀ in production environmentsĀ 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science.Ā Master’s Degree in relevant discipline preferredĀ 

  • Experience designing enterprise scale AI and data architecturesĀ 

  • Experience with realĀ time and batch processing architecturesĀ 

  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience building data and AI pipelinesĀ 

  • Experience with information retrieval, semantic search, or knowledgeĀ driven systemsĀ 

  • ExperienceĀ withĀ relational,Ā nonĀ relationalĀ and semantic data storesĀ 

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals (APIs, system design, testing, version control)Ā 

  • Experience with Natural Language Processing methods and applications preferredĀ 

  • Familiarity with data privacy considerationsĀ and AIĀ 

  • Excellent analytical andĀ problemĀ solvingĀ skillsĀ

Location

This role is hybrid, based in our Los Angeles office.

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $232,000 - $260,000 in Los Angeles, CA. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
