Job DetailsJob Location: Apollo Freight LAX - Los Angeles, CA 90045Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 Salary/yearThe Air Freight Export Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts within the air export division, with a focus on perishable freight. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end export process from a client perspective, ensuring service excellence, driving revenue growth, and maintaining strong relationships with airlines and customers. The position requires a balance of operational knowledge, commercial acumen, and customer engagement to achieve business objectives and profitability targets. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned export customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service delivery. Manage air export shipments from booking through final departure, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and expectations. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, airlines, and key partners. Negotiate and manage customer and airline rates to ensure competitive pricing and profitable margins. Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and expand business volume. Proactively address customer concerns, resolve issues, and provide effective solutions. Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments and service commitments. Monitor shipment performance and provide customers with updates, reports, and insights. Analyze revenue, profitability, and account performance to identify growth and improvement opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with all export regulations and company policies, including TSA and international shipping requirements. Prepare regular reports on account performance, forecasts, and market trends for management. Stay informed on market conditions, capacity trends, and pricing to remain competitive. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred 3-5 years of experience in airfreight export or logistics industry, preferably in the perishable or temperature-controlled cargo Proven experience in account management, sales, or customer-facing roles with freight forwarding  Proficiency in English (verbal and written)  Strong knowledge of air export operations, pricing, and international shipping regulations  Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills  Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.  Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving  Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office applications.  Ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to business development strategies.
